Whenever I make tomato pasta sauce at home, it gets a bit too sour. I just add a pinch of sugar or a splash of heavy cream at the end to balance the taste.

Adding baking soda to neutralize sauce acidity is a common cooking trick, but if you have digestive issues, don't rely on food hacks to prevent stomach irritation. Check with a doctor if tomatoes trigger your acid reflux.

To keep my blood pressure and digestion in check, I cook tomatoes with a bit of olive oil and avoid adding extra salt or heavy cream to mask the sourness. Regular health walks also help digest acidic foods better.

Honestly, I just add a tiny pinch of baking soda to the boiling sauce. It bubbles up like a science experiment but instantly cuts down that sharp, throat-burning sourness.

I love red sauce pasta but always worry it will cause bad nighttime reflux. Adding finely grated carrots to the sauce while simmering really helps sweeten it naturally so it's gentler on the stomach.

Bro, just toss in a small piece of butter or some finely chopped onions while cooking. It totally cuts down the sharpness of the tomatoes without making the sauce taste sweet.

A great natural vegetarian trick is to add a small amount of mashed sweet potato or pumpkin to the sauce. It neutralizes the tomato acid beautifully and adds a nice thick texture.
