According to my gastroenterologist, gas pain is caused by trapped air in the GI tract, often due to high-fiber foods or swallowing air while eating too fast. He advised walking for 10 minutes and lying down on the left side to help move the gas. If it is recurrent, keeping a food diary is highly recommended.

Whenever I get a sharp pain in my chest or ribs from gas, I immediately start worrying if it is something serious like a heart attack. Try to sit upright and drink some warm water with a pinch of hing. Please stay calm, and if you feel heavy chest pressure, go to the hospital right away.

I totally get it, that sharp chest-like pain from gas can make you feel so uncomfortable and anxious. Try drinking some warm cumin (jeera) water or simply take a slow walk around the room. I hope you find some relief very soon.

I completely understand how scary it feels when sudden gas pain strikes, it makes you feel so restless and anxious. First, try to take slow, deep breaths to calm your body. Sipping on some warm water with mint leaves can help soothe the bloating.

For temporary gas pain, simple lifestyle adjustments like eating slowly and staying hydrated work best. However, chronic bloating and gas pain can sometimes point to food intolerances or IBS. Consulting a physician for a proper diagnosis is always the most logical step.

I once ignored a severe, burning upper stomach pain thinking it was just 'normal gas' and it turned out to be a severe ulcer that required emergency treatment. Please don't assume everything is just gas. If the pain is intense or doesn't go away, get it checked by a doctor.
