How to relieve tooth nerve pain?

Yesterday, I bit into something hard and now one of my teeth has this sharp, shooting pain, especially with hot or cold things. I think it might be the nerve. How can I relieve this tooth nerve pain, it's really unbearable?

When it comes to nerve pain, it usually means the pulp is exposed or infected. Go to a reputed dental hospital and ask the dentist clearly about whether you need a root canal or temporary medicated filling.

Nerve pain makes you want to pull your own hair out. I tried holding ice water in my mouth, which helped for exactly two minutes before making it hurt worse. Save your energy and just go to the dentist.

My dentist explained that nerve pain is triggered by hot or cold temperatures reaching the inner tooth chamber. He advised avoiding extreme temperatures and suggested keeping the head elevated while sleeping to reduce pressure on the tooth.

Please do not ignore nerve pain or keep taking painkillers. I delayed my dental visit and the infection spread deep into my jawbone, leading to a much more painful surgical extraction. Get it checked by a dentist immediately.

I know exactly how terrifying that sharp, shooting nerve pain can be, it literally makes your whole head throb and causes so much anxiety. Please try to take deep breaths and keep the area clean. It can be treated easily by a doctor.

I tried cloves, garlic paste, and even warm oil, but nerve pain is too deep for these to cure. They only help for an hour. The best thing is to do warm salt water rinses to keep it clean and get professional dental help.

Nerve pain is the ultimate villain because it stops you from enjoying your favorite hot biryani or cold ice cream. While you wait for your dentist appointment, stick to simple, lukewarm dahi-rice.

My grandmother always recommended putting a tiny drop of clove oil on a cotton swab and placing it gently on the tooth. It gives temporary relief, but for nerve issues, we must trust a dentist's proper treatment plan.
