My doctor told me that wearing shoes with a narrow toe-box causes repetitive trauma to the nail bed. He suggested switching to shoes that have a wide toe-box and keeping the toenails trimmed straight so they don't press into the skin.

I know how scary it feels when your toe throbs and turns slightly red, you instantly think of bad infections. Try not to stress. Most of the time it is just pressure from tight footwear, and giving your feet some air will heal it.

I got severe nail pain after running in tight football boots. I just stopped wearing closed shoes at home, used basic slippers, and applied a little coconut oil to keep the skin soft. It went away in two days.

Nothing a warm foot soak and a hot plate of samosas can't fix! But seriously, resting your feet and avoiding tight shoes is the only real solution here. Sit back, eat well, and let your toes recover.

I have faced this multiple times during my field trips. The key is to never wear damp socks, and ensure you lace your shoes in a way that doesn't slide your foot forward. A simple warm water soak works best for immediate relief.

Hey, don't stress too much! Just ditch those tight shoes for a couple of days and wear open sandals. Your toes just need some room to breathe and recover from all that squeezing.

Bro, those stylish pointed shoes are the absolute worst for your toes. I literally had to switch back to my basic loose sports shoes for a week just to let my painful toenail heal. Comfort over style any day!

Our bodies are very sensitive, we must walk with comfort and peace. Give your tired feet a gentle warm water soak with a bit of salt in the evening. Stay positive, let your feet rest, and they will heal beautifully.

Since I have thyroid issues, my skin and nails tend to dry out and break easily, making shoe friction worse. I suggest getting your regular health checkups done and using a good moisturizing foot cream after soaking your feet.

If you are a regular runner or walker, shoe sizing is crucial. Always buy running shoes that are half a size larger than your casual shoes to give your toes enough room to move and prevent nail bruising.
