How to relieve stomach pain from constipation immediately?

I've been constipated for a couple of days, and now my stomach is really hurting. It's an immediate, sharp pain. What can I do right now to get some relief from this?

I'm literally awake at 3 AM right now because my stomach feels like a heavy brick from constipation. Honestly, drinking a huge mug of warm water and pacing around my room is the only thing that helps get things moving. Hope both of us get some relief soon.

First, don't strain too hard as that will only increase your abdominal pain and cause other issues. You can take a mild osmotic laxative like syrup lactulose after asking a pharmacist, which softens the stool safely. Drink plenty of water along with it to make it work.

My son used to get terrible stomach aches from constipation. I found that giving him a warm bath to relax the abdominal muscles and making him drink warm water with a spoon of soaked chia seeds really helped ease the pressure. Try to keep the diet very light today.

I completely understand how terrifying that intense, bloated stomach pain can feel when you are badly constipated. Please try to take deep breaths and don't panic, as stress tightens your pelvic muscles even more. Sip some warm water and try to relax your body.

Please be very careful with sudden, severe stomach pain from constipation. I once ignored it and ended up with a severe fecal impaction that required emergency medical treatment. If the pain is intense, or if you experience vomiting, please go to a hospital immediately.

To relieve the acute pain, drinking warm water and taking a gentle walk can help stimulate peristalsis. While home remedies like fiber and fluids are good for prevention, if you are in severe pain, consulting a physician for a safe laxative is the most logical step.

For quick relief, you can mix one teaspoon of pure castor oil or warm ghee in a glass of hot milk and drink it before sleeping. It is a traditional way to lubricate the digestive tract. However, if the constipation is chronic or the pain is severe, a doctor's advice is necessary.

Constipation is a very common issue when thyroid levels are fluctuating, which I deal with regularly. I find that keeping my thyroid medication on track and drinking warm water daily helps. If this pain is a regular thing, please get your thyroid levels and gut health checked.

I panicked so badly last year when I had a sharp stomach cramp from not passing stool for three days. I thought it was an appendix issue, but it was just heavy gas and block. A simple warm water intake and some patience solved it, so don't worry too much.

Drink two glasses of lukewarm water right now and try to walk around. If you need immediate relief from the blockage and the pain, you can use a mild over-the-counter laxative syrup or a saline enema after consulting a local pharmacist.

I was just reading that drinking warm liquids stimulates the bowel muscles much faster than cold water. Have you tried drinking black tea or plain warm water? Moving around and doing light twists also seems to help release the trapped gas.

If the stomach pain is very sharp, continuous, or if you feel feverish, please don't try any heavy laxatives or home remedies. It is always safest to get evaluated by a general physician to ensure there is no bowel obstruction.
