How to relieve stomach pain from coffee?

I drink coffee every morning, but lately, I've noticed it's giving me a stomach ache, especially if I haven't eaten anything. Is there a way to enjoy my coffee without this discomfort?

My doctor explained that coffee is highly acidic and can stimulate the production of excess gastric acid, which irritates the stomach lining. He advised me to never drink coffee on an empty stomach and suggested switching to dark roasts, which are generally lower in acid.

I totally get it, morning stomach cramps from coffee can completely ruin your routine. Try drinking a glass of warm water first thing in the morning before having your brew. It helps dilute the stomach acid and makes a big difference.

Bhai, coffee can sometimes create a lot of heat and sour acid in the stomach. Drink a small cup of cold milk without sugar, or just have some warm water. It will cool down the irritation quickly.

I just dealt with this last week because I was drinking black coffee on an empty stomach during work. The acidity was terrible. I started having a small biscuit before my cup and switched to cold brew, and my stomach hasn't hurt since then.

I was researching this because my friend gets bad cramps after his morning espresso. Apparently, the caffeine triggers muscle contractions in the digestive tract, which causes spasms. Maybe trying decaf or reducing the strength could help?

In our family, we believe that excessive coffee drinking weakens the digestion. You can chew on a piece of fresh ginger or drink warm water with fennel seeds to soothe the stomach lining. If the burning sensation or pain continues, please consult a medical doctor.

To prevent coffee from irritating your digestive tract, avoid having it with heavy, fried foods. I always prefer having a light oatmeal breakfast before my coffee. If you still get pain, try switching to herbal teas like chamomile or mint which are much gentler.

My health tracker showed a pattern of poor gut comfort on days I had high caffeine intake before my workouts. Try loging your coffee times; drinking it at least an hour after breakfast usually stops the stomach irritation. Tracking your daily water intake also helps.
