How to relieve shoulder pain from pitching?

I play cricket regularly, and after a long session of pitching, my shoulder really starts to hurt. It's a sharp pain that lingers for a day or two. What are some ways to relieve shoulder pain from pitching quickly?

Honestly, please be very careful with shoulder pain because a small tear can become something big if ignored. I always worry about rotator cuff issues whenever I feel a pull. Rest it completely for a few days and maybe apply an ice pack to keep any swelling down, but don't stretch it forcefully right now.

I completely understand how stressful this is, especially when you start imagining the worst sports injuries. Please take a deep breath, it might just be a mild strain from overexertion. Rest it well, use cold fermentation for fifteen minutes, and see if the pain reduces by tomorrow.

I panicked so badly last year when my shoulder clicked and hurt after bowling. I thought I ruined my joint, but my doc said it was just minor inflammation from poor form. Resting it and doing basic rotator cuff strengthening later on really fixed it.

Listen, don't push through the pain and try pitching again tomorrow. Give your shoulder a break for at least 4 to 5 days and apply some ice. If the ache doesn't go down or if you can't lift your arm properly, we should get an ortho doctor to look at it.

I've tried everything from mustard oil massages to hot bags for muscle pain. For pitching strain, ice works much better than heat in the first 48 hours to calm the swelling down. You can also apply a good pain relief gel gently without massaging too hard.
