How to relieve shoulder and elbow pain?

I've been noticing a persistent ache in my shoulder and elbow joints lately, especially after doing some household chores. It feels stiff and sometimes even hurts when I lift things. What can I do to relieve shoulder and elbow pain at home?

I had this exact double pain in my right shoulder and elbow for two months because of heavy laptop usage. What finally worked was taking a complete break from typing with that hand, using a gel ice pack on the elbow, and doing very light shoulder rolls twice a day. It took about three weeks of rest, but the pain is completely gone now.

Applying warm sesame oil mixed with a little garlic can help soothe stiff shoulder joints naturally at home. However, if you cannot lift your arm at all, or if there is any swelling in the elbow, please don't wait. Go see an orthopedic doctor to make sure there is no ligament tear.

Joint pain often comes from poor alignment and blocked energy. Doing very gentle shoulder shrugs and slow elbow extensions while focusing on deep breathing can help restore flexibility. Always listen to your body and never stretch to the point of sharp pain.

Having shoulder and elbow pain together often points to a pinched nerve in the neck or a tendon issue like tennis elbow. Try applying an anti-inflammatory gel and keeping the arm supported on a pillow while resting. If the pain doesn't subside in a few days, you might need a proper clinical evaluation or a mild muscle relaxant.

Dekho, if both joints are hurting, you are definitely overusing your arm or sleeping on it awkwardly. Stop lifting gym weights or heavy grocery bags for a week and apply ice. If the pain still doesn't go, stop doing home remedies and visit a proper clinic.

No need to buy fancy equipment or expensive massage oils for this. Just wrap a few ice cubes in a clean cotton cloth and press it on your elbow and shoulder for 10 minutes. Avoid sitting in the direct draft of the AC, as cold air can make joint stiffness worse.

At my age, I have learned that joint pains require patience rather than quick rubs and balms. Don't worry, this pain will subside if you stop straining the arm and give it proper rest. Let the body heal naturally and consult a doctor if it doesn't improve with rest.

I had similar issues and used my smartwatch to track my sitting posture, which showed I was leaning heavily on my right side. For home relief, using a resistance band for light rotator cuff exercises can help, but log your daily pain levels on an app to see what triggers it.

Same here, my shoulder and elbow flare up from continuous desk work; placing a small cushion under my elbow for support has really helped.

I totally get it, trying to manage daily chores when both your shoulder and elbow are throbbing is so difficult and exhausting. It makes even brushing your hair feel like a major task. Please rest that arm completely today and let someone else help you with the physical work.

I had this annoying ache after shifting houses and lifting heavy boxes. What really saved me was using an electric heating pad on my shoulder and resting my elbow on a soft cushion while watching TV. Give your arm a complete break from any lifting for a few days.

My grandmother always recommended applying warm ginger paste to painful joints to reduce swelling naturally. While it does provide a warm comfort, for persistent pain in both the shoulder and elbow, I always suggest visiting an orthopedic doctor to get a correct diagnosis.
