How to relieve sciatica nerve pain?

I have been experiencing a lot of pain radiating from my lower back down my leg, which I think is sciatica nerve pain. It's constant and very irritating. What are the best ways to get relief?

My sciatica gets me so worried that I might need surgery or something permanent. I have started checking my sitting posture every ten minutes because I get anxious about it worsening. I really think getting a proper doctor's diagnosis is the safest first step.

That shooting pain in my left leg wakes me up at 3 AM like a sudden electric shock. Honestly, I've tried all cushions and now I just lie flat on the hard floor for relief. Sleeping has become a luxury these days!

I had terrible sciatica pain last year because of my long desk job. What really saved me was taking small breaks to do standing hamstring stretches and switching to a firm orthopedic seat cushion. It gets better, don't worry!

I managed my sciatica successfully after months of trial. You must avoid deep, soft sofas that cause your pelvis to tilt backwards, as that directly pinches the nerve. Stick to straight-backed chairs and do gentle nerve flossing stretches daily.

Since I manage my diabetes, I have to be very careful with any nerve pain because high sugar can worsen nerve issues. Along with my physical therapy for sciatica, I make sure my blood sugar levels are strictly under control with proper diet.
