Take care of your health, beta. This leg pain is a temporary discomfort of motherhood. Keep your mind peaceful with soft prayers and rest your body as much as it asks for.

My grandmother suggested a warm herbal oil massage, but we consulted our doctor first. The doctor advised a specific pregnancy-safe glute stretch and sleeping with a body pillow. That worked beautifully for my wife's leg numbness.

My elder sister was literally crying with this leg pain last month during her pregnancy. We got her a special U-shaped pregnancy pillow and it seemed to help her sleep way better. Sciatica looks really tough to deal with.

Because of my thyroid fluctuations, my doctor always monitors my fluid retention closely as it can worsen nerve pain. If you have any hormonal issues, make sure your regular blood tests are up to date and mention this sciatica to your doctor.

Agree with everyone, a warm bath before sleeping really helps soothe those tight buttock muscles.

My doctor explained that the hormone relaxin loosens the ligaments, which combined with the baby's weight can pinch the sciatic nerve. She strictly advised against any sudden twists or lifting heavy things from the floor, and recommended a maternity support belt.

I had sciatic pain in both my pregnancies. My best tip is to never stand on one leg—when putting on pants or shoes, always sit down. Also, keep your weight balanced on both feet when standing in the kitchen.
