How to relieve pain without pills?

I prefer not to rely on pills for every little ache or pain I get. Are there effective ways to relieve pain, like general body aches or mild headaches, without taking any medication?

Yaar, actually, for normal muscle cramps or headaches, I totally avoid taking pills. A strong ginger tea and applying a cold ice pack on the forehead works wonders for me. Just lie down in a dark room for half an hour, it really helps relax the mind.

Due to my thyroid issues, I often suffer from general body aches and joint stiffness. Instead of popping painkillers, I rely on gentle stretching, keeping myself hydrated, and regular blood tests to check my hormone levels. Keeping your body parameters in check is key to managing pain naturally.

I know how exhausting it is to live with chronic pain and feel like you are dependent on chemicals all the time. Sometimes, just sitting quietly with a heating pad and letting yourself cry or vent can release a lot of emotional tension that worsens physical pain. Your pain is real, and it is okay to take a break.

When my stomach aches from overeating spicy street food, I strictly stay away from pills. I just drink a warm glass of water with fennel seeds or carom seeds (ajwain) and black salt. It naturally digests the food and relieves that heavy, painful gas bloat in no time!

My elders always suggested applying warm sesame oil mixed with camphor for joint stiffness. It gives a very soothing warmth to the area naturally. However, if the pain is severe or due to an injury, I always consult our doctor instead of relying solely on home remedies.

Hey! For period pain or mild backaches, I completely skip the pills and make a warm cup of turmeric milk (haldi doodh). I also use those herbal heating patches that stick to your clothes, they are super practical when you are on the go!
