How to relieve pain from peptic ulcer?

I've been diagnosed with a peptic ulcer, and sometimes the burning pain in my stomach is unbearable. My doctor has given me medicine, but I want to know if there are other ways to find relief, especially with diet or home remedies.

I lived with peptic ulcers for two years before finally curing them. The most important thing is to eat small, bland meals every 3 hours because an empty stomach allows acid to eat into the ulcer, causing that burning pain. Avoid raw onions, garlic, and hot tea completely.

My doctor warned me that high stress levels spike both my blood pressure and stomach acid, worsening my ulcer pain. I had to undergo a proper endoscopy to confirm the ulcer and now take my antacids exactly as prescribed. Do not self-medicate, get a proper checkup.

With back-to-back meetings, I used to skip meals which ruined my stomach lining. Now I carry cold milk or curd to office and consume it the moment I feel that familiar burning sensation. It acts as an instant buffer against stomach acid when you're busy.

Haan na, ulcer pain is really terrible, especially at night when trying to sleep. I drink thoda cold milk and sleep with my head elevated, it gives so much relief. Spicy food to bilkul band kar do till it heals completely.

Peptic ulcer pain shouldn't be ignored or treated with random pain killers, as common NSAIDs actually make ulcers bleed and worsen the condition. For temporary relief, you can have a cup of cold milk without sugar. Please consult a gastroenterologist for proper antibiotic therapy if it's an H. pylori infection.

Oh, that burning stomach pain is so miserable! 😢 Eating a cold banana or a bowl of sweet curd really helps coat the stomach lining and cools down the fire instantly. Take care and eat light food for a few days! 🥣

Does anyone else get this sharp gnawing pain in the upper stomach right after eating? It makes me so anxious to even touch food because I fear the pain will start again. Is this standard for peptic ulcers?

I panicked thinking I had some major heart issue when I felt that severe burning in my chest and upper stomach. It turned out to be a simple peptic ulcer that healed in a month with proper antacids. Just relax, follow your doctor's diet plan, and you will be absolutely fine.

With hostelfood being so oily, my stomach was ruined last term. Drinking cold buttermilk during lunch was a lifesaver for my acidity and ulcer burning. Also, don't sleep immediately after dinner, keep at least a two-hour gap.

Don't waste money buying random over-the-counter antacid syrups repeatedly as they only give temporary relief. It is much cheaper in the long run to spend on an H. pylori test or a doctor's consultation once to get the exact curative medicine. Plan your bland meals at home to save on outside food costs.

I read so many scary articles about ulcers bleeding, which kept me awake worrying all night. But keeping a bottle of cold water nearby and eating a small piece of cucumber helped soothe the pain and calm my mind. Stay strong, follow the doctor's advice, and try not to over-google your symptoms.

I used to have late-night spicy maggi and street food, which gave me bad ulcers. Honestly, cutting out caffeine, carbonated drinks, and smoking is the only way to stop this pain. Just eat simple ghar ka khana like khichdi for a week.
