How to relieve pain from holding pee?

Sometimes, when I'm out or in meetings, I have to hold my pee for a long time, and then I get this sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It's really uncomfortable. How can I relieve this pain quickly?

Totally agree, holding it in causes bad bladder spasms. Drinking a large glass of warm water helps flush the system and relaxes the muscles after you finally go.

When we hold urine, we create unnecessary tension in our pelvic floor muscles. Sit quietly, take deep belly breaths, and practice Vajrasana for a few minutes if comfortable to release the downward energy blockage. It gently relaxes the lower abdomen naturally.

Oh God, I did this during a long food crawl because I didn't want to use public toilets, and the cramp was awful! I had to sit down and drink fresh coconut water to soothe my stomach. Avoid spicy food and caffeinated tea for the rest of the day, as they will irritate your bladder even more.

In our younger days during long bus journeys, we often had to hold our urine and suffered from these deep aches. Don't worry, child, just rest in bed and apply a little warm sesame oil on your lower belly. It will soothe the nerves and the pain will pass soon.

Hey, don't make a habit of holding your pee like this, it can lead to painful urinary infections. If your lower abdomen is still aching after emptying your bladder, place a warm hot-water bottle on the pelvic area to soothe the cramped muscles. Please drink plenty of water today and take care.

To flush out any toxins and soothe the urinary tract, try drinking unsweetened cranberry juice or warm water with a squeeze of fresh lemon. Avoid any heavy dairy, sugary drinks, or salty food right now as they can put more load on your kidneys and bladder while they are already irritated.
