How to relieve pain between thumb and index finger?

After a lot of typing and using my phone, I've started feeling a dull pain between my thumb and index finger. It's making it hard to grip things properly. Any suggestions to ease this discomfort?

I can't say what medical issue this is, but I get this cramp when I type on my phone for too long. For me, resting the hand completely and gently massaging the webbed area with coconut oil provides good temporary relief. If it continues, you should ask a professional.

I totally feel you, I get this annoying pain right there when I write my exams or scroll too much. Try putting your hand in warm water mixed with a little salt for 10 minutes. It really relaxes those tiny tired muscles in your palm.

With PCOS, I sometimes get general joint inflammation and fluid retention, which makes my hands ache. I try not to squeeze things too hard when this happens and just rest my hand. Please be gentle with your hands and check with a doctor if the pain spreads to your wrist.

Ouch, that thumb muscle cramp is no fun! 😫 Try to stretch your fingers wide like a starfish and then make a loose fist a few times. Giving your hand a little break from the phone screen really works wonders! ✨

As someone managing high blood pressure, I always keep an eye on any weird nerve pains or numbness. I ensure my salt intake is controlled and monitor my overall circulation. It's always best to get a routine checkup done to ensure it is just a simple muscle strain and nothing else.

Yaar, this happens to me because of continuous mouse clicking at work. Actually, a simple ice pack wrapped in a towel helps a lot to reduce that burning feeling. Just take a break from your laptop every hour, otherwise the pain keeps coming back.

I've been feeling this dull ache between my thumb and index finger for two days now and it is making me super anxious. Has anyone else experienced this out of nowhere? Does it go away on its own or should I worry?

Please don't ignore this if it persists, as I let my hand pain slide and it turned out to be severe tendonitis that required weeks of physiotherapy. If you feel any numbness or tingling in your thumb, get it checked by an orthopedist immediately before it gets worse.
