How to relieve bursitis pain?

I've been diagnosed with bursitis in my hip, and the pain can be quite severe, especially when I lie down on that side. My physio gave some exercises, but I need something for immediate pain relief. What works for bursitis pain?

Honestly, bhai, please get it checked by a doctor first. I ignored my knee pain thinking it's just muscle pull and it got really bad later. Don't self-diagnose or try remedies without knowing exactly what it is. Doctor will tell you the best way to relieve the pain properly.

Hey! My friend had bursitis in her shoulder. Her doctor advised some gentle exercises and physio after the initial pain subsided. If your doctor clears it, maybe some light walking or stretching could help keep the joint mobile and prevent stiffness. But only if doc says ok!

Oh no, bursitis sounds really painful! I always worry about these things becoming chronic. Have you seen a specialist yet? Maybe they can give you specific exercises or even an injection to reduce the inflammation. Don't suffer in silence, get it properly diagnosed.

Anna, sorry to hear about your pain. My mother often says gentle massage with warm oil helps for joint discomfort, but for bursitis, it's very important to follow doctor's advice. Sometimes specific physio is needed. Please consult a good orthopaedist; they will guide you best.

Beta, if it's swelling, sometimes a warm compress can give a little relief, like the elders used to say. But this bursitis, it sounds like something serious. It's best to show a good doctor, they know better than us. Don't ignore joint pains, they can trouble you for long.

Bursitis? Sounds like another one of those fancy pains that come with age, yaar. Pehle back pain, ab yeh. My doc told me sometimes resting the joint and applying ice helps initially. But seriously, go see a doctor, don't be like me and think it'll just magically disappear. It never does!
