How to reduce piles size?

My piles have become quite large and are causing a lot of pain and itching. I want to avoid surgery if possible. Are there any methods or treatments that can help to reduce piles size? My neighbour suggested some ayurvedic remedies.

In my experience, the swelling and size only started reducing when I completely stopped straining in the washroom and did warm water sitz baths twice a day. It took about two weeks of strict diet control to see a difference.

Reducing the size of hemorrhoids depends on their grade; early stages can shrink with lifestyle changes, but larger ones might need medical intervention. It is highly recommended to get a proper physical examination by a specialist doctor to plan the right treatment.

Sitting for long hours increases pressure on the pelvic veins, keeping the piles swollen. Try standing up every hour and doing gentle walking to improve blood flow, provided your doctor permits. Avoid any heavy lifting or strenuous core exercises.

I'm quite embarrassed to ask this, but do those over-the-counter piles creams actually help reduce the physical size of the swelling, or do they only stop the itching and burning sensation?

Reducing the size takes time, yaar. Actually, you have to avoid sitting on hard chairs; use a soft cushion and do regular sitz baths. If it doesn't shrink in a week, just see a general surgeon to be safe.

Make sure you choose high-fiber foods that don't spike your blood sugar, like green vegetables, flaxseeds, and whole grains. Staying hydrated is also crucial. Consult your doctor to ensure any local creams you use don't react with your regular medications.

I agree with everyone suggesting sitz baths; sitting in warm water for 15 minutes really helps in reducing the engorged blood vessels.
