I totally get it, when the pain hits you just need it to stop right away. Try using an electric heat pad on your stomach immediately; it's the fastest drug-free way to soothe those sharp cramps. Rest as much as you can.

If you are looking for instant relief because the pain is absolutely unbearable, please don't just ignore it like I did. I kept taking home remedies for severe pain which turned out to be endometriosis. Get a proper checkup with a gynecologist.

Personally, when I have zero time and need comfort, I just wrap a hot water bag around my lower back and drink hot ginger tea. It doesn't cure it completely, but it helps me get through the next few hours.

At my age, I've tried everything under the sun for cramps. Honestly, nothing beats a hot water bag and telling everyone in the house to leave you alone for an hour. Best instant therapy ever.

The cramps make me want to eat junk, but actually, warm soups and hot milk with turmeric work much better to soothe the stomach instantly. Avoid oily foods right now as they can cause bloating and make the cramps feel way worse.

When my daughter gets these sudden bad cramps, I make her lie down and put a warm heating pad on her stomach immediately. I also give her a warm cup of herbal tea to sip slowly. It really helps her calm down and feel better.

Drinking warm peppermint or fennel tea can help relax the intestinal and uterine muscles quickly. Avoid any caffeine or cold carbonated drinks right now as they can constrict blood vessels and increase the cramping.
