How to reduce pain of canker sore?

I've got a really painful canker sore inside my mouth, right on my lip, and it hurts whenever I talk or eat. It's making me avoid food. What are some effective ways to reduce the pain of a canker sore?

Sometimes frequent canker sores can happen due to nutritional deficiencies or hormonal shifts, which I face due to my thyroid. It's a good idea to get a routine blood test done to check your vitamin levels. For now, a doctor can prescribe a soothing topical gel.

I used to panic thinking mouth sores were something major, but they are usually just heat bumps or minor cuts. They generally heal on their own in a week. Just apply a little honey or over-the-counter soothing gel to ease the burning.

Oh, canker sores are so painful, especially when eating! I always worry they'll get infected, so I strictly avoid touching them. Try rinsing your mouth with mild salt water, but make sure it's not too hot.

I get these all the time when I accidentally bite my cheek. Honestly, just applying Ora-fast gel or any local anesthetic gel from the chemist works instantly. It numbs the area so you can actually eat your lunch.

Haan, dahi khana shuru karo, pet ki garmi se hi mouth ulcer hote hain na. Cold milk ya dahi se kafi thandak milti hai aur dard bhi kam hota hai. Spicy food toh bilkul touch mat karna thode din.

Applying a bit of coconut oil directly on the ulcer really helps to soothe the sharp stinging pain when you talk or eat.

Physical stress and lack of sleep can trigger these sores and even affect your blood pressure. Focus on eating simple, non-spicy food and getting adequate sleep. If these ulcers persist for more than 10 days, get a proper checkup.

No need to buy expensive products for this. Just do a simple rinse with warm water and a pinch of salt or baking soda three times a day. It disinfects the sore and helps it heal much faster without costing anything.

Please don't keep ignoring it if it doesn't heal or if you get them constantly. I once ignored a persistent sore thinking it was normal and it turned out to be a severe deficiency that took months to fix. If it stays for weeks, go to a dentist.

My simple mouth ulcer got infected last year because I tried too many home remedies on it. It became so swollen that I couldn't swallow water. Please consult a doctor if the pain is severe or if you run a fever.

Man, canker sores are the absolute worst enemy of a foodie! You want to eat spicy biryani but the ulcer just burns. Stick to sweet lassi, cold custard, and ice cream for a couple of days to keep your mouth happy while it heals.

Beta, wash your mouth with normal water after every meal. Eating a small piece of dry coconut or chewing a tulsi leaf gently can bring great relief to the mouth. Take care of your health.
