How to reduce fever at home?

My son has a slight fever since last night, and I want to avoid giving him too much medicine if possible. He's a bit cranky but otherwise okay. What are some good home remedies or tips to reduce a fever naturally here at home?

I always get so worried when anyone in my house gets a fever. I keep checking their temperature every hour with a digital thermometer. Just make sure they stay under a light fan and don't bundle up in heavy blankets, as that traps the heat.

When I had viral fever, I tracked my resting heart rate and temperature on my smartwatch. Hydration is key, so keep sipping water or ORS continuously. Keeping a digital log of your temperature helps you know exactly when to take your doctor-prescribed paracetamol.

I always prepare a warm ginger-tulsi decoction for my family during mild fevers. It really helps soothe the throat and body aches. But if the temperature goes above 102, don't rely only on home remedies and call your doctor.

I used to rush to the clinic the moment my temperature hit 100 degrees, but now I know a mild fever is just the body fighting the infection. Just rest completely, wear thin cotton clothes, and let the fever run its course while staying hydrated.

Stay calm and keep a positive mind, as fear only weakens our body's natural defense system. Rest quietly, drink warm herbal tea like tulsi water, and let your body heal peacefully. Take care and stay blessed.

Before running to a private clinic and spending thousands on immediate blood tests, give it 48 hours of rest and paracetamol at home. Most viral fevers settle down naturally. Just keep a cheap digital thermometer handy to monitor the spikes.

The fastest way to cool down a fever at home is simple sponge bathing with normal tap water. Don't use ice-cold water as it makes the body shiver and raises internal temperature. Just keep wiping the forehead, underarms, and neck repeatedly.

As a mother, I deal with fevers quite often. The most practical thing is to keep the room well-ventilated and dress the person in single-layer cotton clothes. Force them to drink liquids like coconut water even if they don't feel like it.
