How to reduce excess skin after pregnancy?

It's been a year since I had my baby, and I'm still struggling with a lot of loose skin around my belly area. I'm feeling very self-conscious. What can I do to reduce this excess skin after pregnancy?

I tried all kinds of firming creams, oils, and herbal massages after my second delivery, but honestly, they only moisturize the skin rather than tightening it. Real skin recovery takes a lot of time and patience. Focus on nourishing your body from within with a good diet.

Hey, don't stress too much about the loose skin! Your body literally grew a whole human being, so give it some grace and time to heal. Drinking lots of water and doing light core exercises when your doctor allows will slowly help over time.

It is completely natural to have loose skin after childbirth. Focus on your baby, eat healthy, and let your body recover at its own pace.

Since hormonal changes can affect skin elasticity, healing might take longer for some of us. Be gentle with your body and don't rush into intense workouts or restrictive diets too soon. It is always best to consult your gynecologist before starting any fitness routine.

Agree with the advice here. Building abdominal muscles slowly through safe postpartum exercises is the best way to support the skin.

I am just three months postpartum and also struggling with loose skin around my belly. It makes me feel a bit shy to ask, but does postpartum massage really help with skin tightening, or is it better to just wait for it to heal naturally?

While you are working on getting active, don't starve yourself or go on crazy diets because your body still needs energy. Focus on eating nutrient-dense foods like dry fruits, dal, and fresh fruits which are great for your skin and overall recovery.

I totally get it, looking in the mirror post-pregnancy can sometimes feel very overwhelming and disappointing. But please remember that it took nine months to stretch that skin, so it won't go back overnight. Be patient with yourself, you are doing amazing.

Healthy skin regeneration requires good nutrition and stable blood sugar levels, especially after pregnancy. Make sure your diet is rich in proteins and vitamins like Vitamin C, which help with collagen production, and avoid sugary processed foods.

My wife and I went through this after our kids were born. Honestly, we just accepted that the 'mommy tummy' is a badge of honor! Don't let those perfect social media models fool you, real bodies take a long time to change.
