How to reduce chance of stroke?

My father had a stroke last year, and it was a very scary experience for our family. I'm getting older now and I want to know what I can do to significantly reduce my chances of having a stroke. Are there specific lifestyle changes?

Please monitor your blood pressure and cholesterol levels regularly because high BP is the biggest risk factor for stroke. Consult a cardiologist for a proper preventive health plan.

I survived a minor stroke last year and it changed everything. I had to cut out oil, start walking 45 minutes daily, and strictly take my blood thinners as prescribed.

My father's side has a history of strokes, and I am quite worried about it. Are there specific tests we should do early on to check our vascular health?

Instead of waiting for an emergency which costs lakhs in private hospitals, it is cheaper to get a yearly cardiac health package for 2000-3000 rupees. Early prevention is far more budget-friendly.

High stress and lack of sleep are huge risk factors that we all ignore. I am trying to fix my sleep cycle because constantly running on 4 hours of sleep is a recipe for health disasters.
