I feel your pain, the first few days after getting braces or tightening are the worst. Try doing warm salt water gargles 3-4 times a day, it really helps soothe the gums. Also, placing an ice pack on your cheek from outside gives quick relief.

Whenever I have dental work, my healing takes longer because of my thyroid issues. It is always better to get regular follow-ups with your dentist to ensure there are no infections. Don't self-manage if the soreness lasts more than a week.

Don't try random home remedies or put raw spices on your teeth to numb pain. Just call your orthodontist and ask if you can take a basic painkiller. They usually give a safe prescription and wax to stop cuts inside the mouth.

Bro, just stick to soft food like khichdi and cold dahi for the first three days. Hot foods will make the pressure feel way worse. The pain goes away on its own in 4-5 days, so hang in there.

Honestly, this pain is the perfect excuse to eat chocolate ice cream and creamy soups all day! Avoid crispy snacks and panipuri for a bit. Once the pain settles, you can slowly get back to your favorite treats.

My son had braces years ago and used to cry with pain in the beginning. It is just a temporary phase of adjustments, beta. Keep drinking cold shakes and avoid chewing anything hard for a few days.

Oh god, braces pain is so scary because you feel like your teeth are loose! Don't worry, they won't fall out, it is just the teeth moving. Just drink cold water and eat ice cream to numb it, but contact your doctor if the wires are poking you.

My daughter got her braces last year and struggled a lot. I used to give her cold fruit smoothies and mashed potatoes. Make sure to apply the dental wax they gave you on the brackets that rub against your cheeks.
