How to reduce acidity in stomach?

I've been experiencing a lot of heartburn and a burning sensation in my stomach lately, especially after meals. My doctor said it's probably due to high stomach acidity. What can I do to reduce this acidity naturally?

Arey, my stomach sometimes feels like a small volcano waiting to erupt after eating spicy chole! Honestly, cold milk is my emergency fire extinguisher. Just half a glass of unsweetened cold milk and boom, the fire goes out.

I totally get it, that burning feeling in the chest makes you so restless and ruins your whole day. I used to suffer from this constantly. Chewing some fennel seeds (saunf) after my meals really calmed my stomach down.

Listen, don't worry too much, this is very common but you need to take care. Stop skipping your meals first of all, and have your dinner at least two hours before sleeping. If the burning doesn't go away in a day or two, please visit a doctor and get it checked properly.

I literally rushed to the clinic last year thinking I was having a heart issue, but the doctor laughed and said it was just severe gas and acidity. It is scary but very manageable. Regular simple meals and drinking plenty of water cured it for me.

When you have back-to-back meetings, you tend to drink tea on an empty stomach which is the main culprit. I started carrying a small container of roasted buttermilk with me to office. It keeps the acidity in check without taking up any extra time.

My health tracker showed a pattern that my acidity spikes on days I drink more than three cups of coffee. I cut down my caffeine and started logging my water intake to hit 3 liters daily. It actually works wonders for stomach acid.

With my PCOS, gut health is always a mess and I get bloated and acidic very easily. I usually drink warm water with a little cumin seed powder in the morning, which helps. But everyone's body reacts differently, so check what suits you best.
