How to recover from sleep debt?

My friends say I have a lot of 'sleep debt' because I'm always tired. I try to catch up on weekends but it doesn't seem to work. How do you properly recover from sleep debt?

Namaste! Sleep debt can feel quite heavy on the mind and body. Just remember to be kind to yourself through this process. Try to wind down properly before bed, maybe some light meditation or just focusing on your breath. Small steps towards inner peace can help you recover well.

Oh, sleep debt is very real, especially when you have to manage other health issues like diabetes. I've found that keeping dinner light and early, and avoiding any sugary drinks or heavy carbs before bed helps a lot. It doesn't instantly fix it, but consistent good habits definitely show results over time.

It's tough when you're feeling sleep deprived. Maybe try to add an extra hour to your sleep for a few nights, even if it means sleeping in a bit on weekends. Even short naps can sometimes help, if you can manage. Hope you feel rested soon.

My son used to struggle with this after exams, always tired. What worked for him was setting a strict bedtime, even if he didn't feel sleepy initially. We also made sure his room was completely dark and quiet. Consistency is key, beta, just keep at it.

Dude, same here! College submissions make sleep debt a regular thing. What I do is, on weekends, I just sleep like a log, no alarms till I naturally wake up. And during weekdays, I try to cut out late-night screen time. Thoda thoda karke ho jaata hai manage.
