How to recover after vomiting?

I had a really bad bout of vomiting last night, and now I feel completely drained and weak. What's the best way to recover quickly after vomiting? I need to get my energy back.

If it happened just once, it might be fine, but if you cannot keep even water down, please go to a clinic. Dehydration happens very quickly after vomiting. It is always better to get a professional opinion than to wait till it gets worse.

Ugh, vomiting is the absolute worst, feels like your whole chest got run over by a truck. Honestly, I just lie down on the floor under the fan and sip some watery ORS. Don't even try to eat solid food right now, just rest.

My family doctor always says never to take anti-vomiting pills immediately unless it is severe, because the body is trying to get rid of toxins. He advised keeping a gap of 4-6 hours before having bland foods like curd rice or boiled potatoes. If it persists for more than 24 hours, you need a proper prescription.

The main goal right now is to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes. Start sipping electral or coconut water very slowly, maybe one spoon every five minutes. If you gulp it down fast, it will trigger the vomit reflex again, so go slow.

Mere ghar pe jab bhi kisi ka pet kharab hota hai, hum turant thoda sa nimbu paani aur namak-chini ka ghol dete hain. You can also chew on a tiny piece of ginger if you still feel nauseous. Let your stomach rest for at least two hours before eating soft khichdi.

Ah, that empty, weak feeling is terrible. Take complete rest and just sip plain water for now.
