How to put an overtired newborn to sleep?

My newborn sometimes just gets too tired and starts crying non-stop, and then doesn't sleep at all. It's so stressful for us. What's the best way to soothe and put an overtired newborn to sleep?

An overtired newborn is very hard to soothe, so we must cut out all light and noise. Hold them tightly in a swaddle, put them on your chest for skin-to-skin contact, and pat them very slowly. The warmth of your skin is the best pacifier.

Currently writing this at 3 AM with a baby sleeping on my chest. If I move, the bomb explodes! Honestly, just walk, bounce, sway, and pray. It's the only way when they hit that hyper-active overtired zone.

They look so cute but turn into little monsters when overtired, right? Try turning on the bathroom exhaust fan or vacuum cleaner sound, it distracts their brain from crying and puts them to sleep.

Don't spend money on expensive soothing syrups or vibrating rockers for this. Just use a dark room and free white noise videos on YouTube, they work perfectly to calm a stressed newborn.

I'm no expert, but when my newborn got overtired, I used to step out onto our quiet balcony in the cool air for a few minutes. The change of temperature and fresh air always broke his crying cycle so he could sleep.
