How to protect from skin cancer?

I work outdoors a lot and have fair skin, so I'm worried about sun exposure. How can I best protect myself from skin cancer? Are there specific products or habits I should adopt?

Sun protection is non-negotiable. Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, even on cloudy days. Reapply every two hours, or more often if you're swimming or sweating. Wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses. And avoid peak sun hours, especially 10 AM to 4 PM.

For serious prevention of skin cancer, your best bet is a dermatologist. They can assess your skin type and risk factors, and give you specific advice. Always ask your doctor about the right SPF for you, and how often to do self-skin checks. Don't rely on random advice for such a critical health issue.

Natural ways to protect skin include covering up with clothes and staying in shade. Aloe vera is good for soothing sunburns, but it's not a substitute for sunscreen. For any suspicious moles or skin changes, please do not delay seeing a doctor. Early detection for skin cancer is very, very important.

Haan na, skin cancer is serious, especially with our strong sun. Sunscreen is a must, even ghar pe if you sit near a window. And try to avoid going out during peak afternoon sun. Also, periodically check your skin for any new moles or changes in existing ones, and if you see something, just show it to the doc, na.

Please take sun protection seriously. I had a scare with a suspicious mole that turned out okay, but the anxiety was terrible. Always use good quality sunscreen, wear wide-brimmed hats, and full sleeves when possible. Most importantly, do regular self-skin checks and if anything looks unusual, even slightly, see a dermatologist immediately. Don't take chances.

So, is it only about sun exposure, or are there other things too? Like, can certain foods help or hurt? And how often should we actually get our skin checked by a professional, especially if we don't have many moles?
