How to properly sleep on your side?

Been having a lot of shoulder pain lately, especially after sleeping. I'm a side sleeper, aur I think maybe my posture is wrong. Any tips on how to sleep on your side without waking up stiff?

Sleeping on your left side is generally recommended, it's good for digestion. When you sleep, make sure your spine is aligned. You can place a pillow between your knees to keep your hips in a natural position and avoid straining your lower back. It feels very comfortable.

Been a side sleeper all my life. The trick is a good firm pillow for your head that fills the gap between your shoulder and neck, and definitely a pillow between your knees. It prevents your upper leg from pulling your spine out of alignment. Works like a charm for me.

I'm a side sleeper but sometimes wake up with shoulder pain. So, is it mostly about the pillow thickness and keeping the legs straight? Should I use a very firm mattress too, or does it not matter much?

For side sleeping, maintaining spinal alignment is important, especially for those of us with hormonal issues that can sometimes affect joint pain. A pillow between the knees and a good neck pillow can really make a difference. Always listen to your body and adjust if you feel any discomfort.

Oh, I totally get this! Side sleeping is comfortable but can cause neck or hip pain if not done right. I tried a body pillow and it really helped. It supports your whole body and keeps your spine straight. It's a bit bulky but worth it for a pain-free morning.
