How to prevent kidney stones when taking collagen?

I've started taking collagen supplements for my skin and hair, but a friend told me it might lead to kidney stones. Is that true? How can I prevent kidney stones if I continue taking collagen?

If you're taking collagen and concerned about kidney stones, the absolute best thing to do is discuss it with your nephrologist or the doctor who prescribed your collagen. They can assess your individual risk factors and recommend specific measures, which might include increased fluid intake or dietary adjustments. Don't rely on general advice for such specific concerns.

Beta, if you are taking any supplement, you must drink a lot of water. Like, really a lot. This helps flush everything out. And if you have a history of stones, then it's even more important to talk to your doctor before taking anything new. Your health is precious.

Having high BP myself, I know how interconnected health issues are. With collagen, the main thing people say is drink loads of water. And if you're prone to stones, maybe even discuss with your doc if collagen is the right supplement for you. Regular checkups for kidney function are also very helpful to catch anything early.

Ah, the quest for eternal youth through collagen! But then kidney stones decide to crash the party. Classic! Honestly, drink so much water you feel like a human fish. And if you have any history of stones, then this collagen thing needs a serious chat with your doc. Don't mess with kidneys, they're not as forgiving as your aging skin. 😂

It's totally understandable to feel anxious about potential side effects like kidney stones, especially when taking new supplements. I've been there with health worries. The best peace of mind comes from discussing this directly with your doctor. They can check your history and current health to give you the most accurate advice on collagen and stone prevention. Don't worry alone.

Kidney stones? While trying to get good skin? The irony! My main prevention strategy for everything is 'drink more water than you think you need' and 'sleep' (lol, what's sleep?). But seriously, lots of water. And if you're taking any specific supplements, always, always check with the doc, especially if your body is already acting up.

I take collagen for my joints sometimes. My gym trainer told me that the biggest thing is hydration. Like, properly chug water throughout the day. If you have a history of stones, or your family does, then definitely get a doc's opinion before starting collagen. Don't just follow trends.
