How to pain a car?

My old Maruti Swift has a few scratches and faded paint. I was thinking of repainting it myself. Any tips on how to paint a car at home for a fresh look?

Yo, painting a car is a serious DIY, man. You need to sand it down completely, fix any dents, prime it, then apply multiple coats of paint and clear coat. My cousin did his old Maruti, took him like a week, and it was still kinda patchy. Better to get it done professionally unless you're really good.

Painting a car is an expensive affair, especially if you want a good finish. DIY might save labor costs, but you'll still need good quality paint, primer, clear coat, sandpapers, and a proper spray gun setup. Factor in garage space and ventilation too. Often, getting a professional job done at a good workshop is more cost-effective in the long run than botched DIY and re-doing it.

Beta, if your car needs paint, it is a big job. First, you need to clean it properly, then sand all the old paint. Then put new paint, layer by layer, and then polish. It's better to take it to a good mechanic who knows how to do it well, otherwise, it won't look nice. It needs patience.

For painting a car, my uncle, who had an old Ambassador, used to say it's all about the preparation. You must clean, sand, and fill very carefully. Then, apply primer evenly before the actual paint. But honestly, it is a specialist's job to get it perfect. Better to find a good painter.
