How to numb throat pain?

Since yesterday, my throat has been so sore, like when you get a cold. It's difficult to swallow and talk properly. Can anyone suggest ways to numb throat pain quickly? I have a presentation tomorrow.

For me, during busy workdays, a quick fix is warm salt water gargles every few hours. It really helps to soothe the throat. Also, keeping hydrated with warm water or herbal tea makes a difference. Don't forget to get some rest if possible.

Beta, throat pain is quite common, don't worry too much. In our time, we just used to gargle with warm water and a pinch of salt. Honey in warm water also provides good relief. Just take care, and if it gets worse, then see a doctor.

Oh, throat pain is the worst! I always keep strepsils or any medicated lozenges handy, they give instant, though temporary, relief. And drinking lots of warm fluids, especially ginger-honey tea, really works. Avoid anything cold or spicy until it feels better.

Look, for throat pain, just do what everyone does: gargle with warm salt water, okay? And take some lozenges. Drink warm water, chai, kadha. If it's not improving in a couple of days, then go to the doctor. Don't make it a big deal before that.

Ugh, throat pain is so annoying, makes eating anything difficult! I find that sucking on ice chips or a small piece of plain ice helps numb it for a bit. Also, warm herbal tea with honey feels so good and soothing. Hope you feel better soon!

I've tried so many things for throat pain! Beyond salt water gargles, gargling with a mix of turmeric and warm water helps reduce inflammation. Also, chamomile tea with honey is super soothing. If it's severe or lasts long, better to get it checked by a doc.
