How to numb pain?

I've been having this dull ache in my shoulder for a few days now, nothing major but it's constantly there. Just wondering how to numb pain generally when it's persistent like this? Don't want to take heavy meds.

It's really tough when you're in pain, both physically and emotionally. It drains you completely. Just know it's okay to feel overwhelmed. When I was in pain, distracting myself with a good book or some light music helped me cope a bit, but it's important to find the cause too.

For mild aches, sometimes a hot compress or a cold pack works wonders, depending on the type of pain. Turmeric milk also has anti-inflammatory properties. But if the pain is severe, persistent, or comes with other symptoms, please don't delay seeing a doctor, it's crucial.

I just recovered from terrible back pain. What helped me numb it temporarily was a pain relief spray and then immediately applying a hot water bag. But the real relief came after my physio sessions. Don't just numb it, get to the root of it if it's persistent.

Beta, dard toh mushkil hota hai. Ghar pe thoda garma garam paani ka seekh (hot compress) laga ke dekho. Ya phir adrak wali chai bhi kabhi-kabhi araam deti hai. Par agar zyada takleef hai, toh doctor ko zaroor dikhana chahiye. Apni sehat ka khayal rakho.

For acute, sudden pain, over-the-counter pain relievers can provide temporary relief, but it's crucial to understand why you're experiencing pain. Chronic pain requires a proper diagnosis and treatment plan from a medical professional. Self-medication can be risky.

While immediate numbing isn't the goal, certain pranayama techniques can help calm the nervous system, which in turn can reduce your perception of pain. Slow, deep breathing exercises like Nadi Shodhana can bring a sense of peace. Consult a certified instructor for guidance.

Don't just numb it without knowing the cause. If it's a minor sprain, RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) can help. For anything more serious or persistent, see a doctor ASAP. They'll prescribe proper medication or advise further steps.
