How to not sleep through alarm?

I have to wake up early for work, but sometimes I just sleep through my alarm, even if I put multiple. Then I rush and am late. How can I ensure I don't sleep through my alarm ever?

The classic trick that never fails is keeping your alarm clock or phone on the opposite side of the room. This forces you to physically get out of bed to turn it off, which wakes your brain up. Also, try to sleep at a consistent time every night so your body clock aligns naturally.

It can be so stressful waking up late for work or classes. Try using a loud, pleasant tune and placing your phone a bit far from your bed so you have to stretch to reach it.

I used to snooze my alarm for an hour without even realizing it in my sleep! I switched to an alarm app that makes me solve a simple math puzzle to turn it off. It sounds annoying, but it genuinely wakes your mind up instantly.

Having PCOS makes me feel extremely fatigued in the mornings, making it very easy to sleep right through alarms. I try to manage my hormonal health through diet and moderate exercise to improve my sleep quality. If you also face chronic fatigue, do consult your gynecologist to check your hormone levels.

I felt so guilty and irresponsible for months because I kept missing morning meetings by sleeping through my alarm. It turned out I was suffering from clinical burnout and my body was just desperately crying for rest. Please don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes your body just needs actual recovery.

Waking up early is so difficult, haan na! I have started keeping my window curtains slightly open so the morning sunlight enters my room. It helps my body realize it is morning, and I don't feel like snoozing the alarm as much.

I won't give any health advice, but for me, getting a smart bulb that slowly brightens up my room before the alarm goes off was a game-changer. The light naturally signals my eyes to wake up, so the alarm doesn't feel like a sudden shock. It might be worth trying.

If you are consistently sleeping through very loud alarms, it could be a symptom of a sleep disorder like sleep apnea. When I faced this, the specialists at the hospital did a sleep study and helped diagnose the root cause. Please consult a qualified doctor for a proper clinical opinion.

Eating heavy, greasy dinners late at night can make your digestion sluggish, leading to deep, unresponsive sleep. I suggest eating a light vegetarian meal at least three hours before bedtime to improve sleep quality. However, if fatigue persists, always consult your physician.

Unhealthy sleep patterns and high blood pressure are closely linked. Managing my daily routine, sleeping on time, and doing regular health checkups helped stabilize both my blood pressure and morning alertness. Make sure to discuss your sleep hygiene with your physician.
