How to mix two stroke petrol?
I need to mix two-stroke petrol for my small outboard motor. What's the ideal ratio and method to ensure proper lubrication and performance? Don't want to take any chances with my boat.

I had a hard time with this last month because I guessed the ratio and my scooter started blowing heavy white smoke. It turned out I added way too much oil. Now I strictly use a measuring cylinder and put exactly 20ml per litre.
I am actually trying to learn this for my dad's old moped. Is there any specific brand of 2T oil that works best, or will any normal engine oil from the local shop do? I am a bit scared of ruining the engine if I buy the wrong type.
If you are busy, just get a pre-mixed can from the hardware store or petrol station. It costs slightly more but saves you the time and mess of mixing it manually at home. Otherwise, keep a dedicated jerry can just for your mix.
Don't complicate it, my friend. Get a 5-litre petrol can, buy a 100ml bottle of 2T oil, pour the entire oil bottle into the can, and then fill it up with petrol. This automatically gives you a perfect 50:1 mix with zero calculations.
Research shows that standard 2-stroke engines require a precise hydrocarbon-to-lubricant ratio, usually 50:1. Also, please use face protection while handling this. My colleague in ENT always warns us that inhaling concentrated fuel vapors can damage nasal passages, so do it in an open space.
