Every month during my periods, I get such terrible cramps that I can barely move from bed. My mother says it's normal, but it feels too intense. What are some good ways to manage period pain?

Hello, I get very bad backaches during my periods and find it hard to sit in college. Is it safe to take a pain relief tablet every month, or can it have side effects later?

Please take rest and place a hot water bag on your lower stomach. Sipping warm chamomile or ginger tea can also help ease the cramps.

I totally get it, that radiating lower back pain and cramping can make you want to curl up in bed all day. Don't force yourself to be productive; just rest and use a heating pad to soothe the muscles.

My wife always uses a hot water bag and takes a warm bath to relieve severe cramps. Keeping yourself hydrated and eating light home meals without too much spice also helps a lot.

This is a natural cycle of the body, so try to keep your mind calm with gentle, deep breathing. Taking a little time to sit in quiet meditation can help relax your body and give you strength to manage the discomfort.
