Kidney stone pain can be extremely sudden and intense. It is very important to get an ultrasound done to check the stone size and follow up regularly with a urologist to ensure there is no urine blockage.

To help flush out small stones, drinking plenty of water throughout the day is key. You can also ask your doctor about specific medications that help relax the ureter so the stone can pass more easily.

When I had a 6mm kidney stone, the pain was unbearable in my lower back. I had to go to the hospital emergency room for an injection, and after that, drinking around 3 liters of water daily helped me pass it naturally.

Everyone's body and stone size are different, so please don't rely only on general advice. Consult a doctor to see if you need specific pain management or medical intervention.

Deep, gentle abdominal breathing can help calm your nervous system when the pain begins to rise. Along with proper medical care, keeping your mind calm through soft meditation helps you cope with physical discomfort.

Depending on the type of stone, you might need to limit foods high in oxalates, like spinach or tomatoes. It is best to get the stone analyzed if possible and plan your vegetarian diet carefully with your doctor's advice.

Drink normal water regularly instead of sweet carbonated drinks or packed juices. Reducing extra salt in your daily meals is also a very practical way to prevent kidney stones from forming again.

Speaking from experience, keeping yourself hydrated is your best weapon, but during acute pain, a warm heating pad on your back gives excellent temporary relief. Make sure to keep your doctor's prescribed pain killers handy for sudden attacks.

Haan na, kidney stone pain is really painful, but do not take random pain killers without asking your doctor. Proper diagnosis and sonography are very necessary to treat it correctly.

I have had stones twice in my life, and though the pain feels terrifying at first, it does pass once the stone moves. Keep your courage up, follow your urologist's instructions, and keep drinking plenty of fluids.
