How to manage gum disease?

My gums often bleed when I brush, and sometimes they feel a bit swollen. My dentist said it might be gum disease developing. What are the best ways to manage gum disease at home and prevent it from getting worse?

Please go to a proper dentist immediately for a scaling cleaning. I ignored my bleeding gums for months, and eventually, the infection spread so deep that I had to undergo a painful flap surgery. Don't wait until your teeth start shaking.

Hey, I had this issue too where my gums would bleed while brushing. Honestly, switching to a soft-bristle toothbrush and brushing twice a day made a huge difference. Also, using a mild alcohol-free mouthwash daily helps keep the bacteria away.

My dentist literally told me that if I don't floss, my teeth will eventually leave me. So now I floss like my life depends on it! Trust me, buy a water flosser and you'll save yourself from those scary dental chair drills.

Listen, don't stress too much about it, it is super common and easily treatable. Just make a dentist appointment this weekend for a basic checkup. In the meantime, do warm salt water rinses twice a day, it really soothes the gums.

You can try gentle oil pulling with sesame oil in the morning, which is very good for oral hygiene. But if you have pus in your gums or severe pain, these home tips won't work. You must go to a dental clinic and get it checked.
