How to manage fever?

My little daughter caught a fever yesterday, and I'm always worried when she gets sick. Besides giving her crocin, what are some simple, safe ways to manage fever at home, especially for kids? Should I be worried if it's not very high?

Oh god, please monitor your temperature every two hours with a digital thermometer. I always get so scared that it might be dengue or typhoid if the fever crosses 101. Just keep sponges ready with normal tap water and check with a doctor if it doesnt come down.

My mother always tells me to drink warm rasam and take plenty of rest when a fever hits. But we must always consult our doctor first before taking any heavy pills. Rest is the best medicine for the body to heal.

Excuse me, I hope you are resting well. I also have a mild temperature since yesterday and am quite confused about what to do. Should we avoid taking a bath completely during a fever, or is a warm sponge bath okay?

I totally get it, lying in bed with a heavy head and body ache is the worst feeling ever. Don't force yourself to do anything right now, just sip some warm water. Let your family take care of you for a couple of days.

My immunity is always a bit low because of my thyroid issues, so I get fever very quickly. I have learned that we shouldn't wait more than two days; just go for a basic blood test and consult your doctor for proper medicines.

Dude, fever during exam season is the absolute worst. Honestly, just tell your parents, take your meds, and sleep it off. Missing a day of study is better than collapsing in the exam hall.

Please don't ignore this. Last year I kept taking random over-the-counter tablets for a mild fever, and it turned out to be a severe kidney infection that landed me in the hospital for a week. Go to a doctor right away if it lasts more than 48 hours.

Please take care of yourself. Just drink enough liquids, eat light home-cooked meals, and sleep as much as possible. You will feel better very soon.

Rest is key, but once your temperature is completely normal and your doctor says it is fine, you can start with a very light 15-minute walk. Don't rush into heavy exercise immediately as the body remains weak for a few days.

When you have a fever, please skip your workout completely, your muscles need recovery right now. Just focus on simple food like dal khichdi for easy digestion and drink lots of coconut water to keep your electrolytes up.

Haan na, viral season is very bad these days. Just drink warm water throughout the day, eat simple khichdi, and don't take stress. Doctor ko dikha ke treatment shuru karo, standard medicine se regular ho jayega sab.

Fever can sometimes spike your pulse rate and blood pressure, which I have to watch out for. Please take complete physical rest, avoid any mental stress, and do a quick doctor checkup if you feel dizzy or uneasy.

See, running a fever means your body is fighting some infection, so self-medication is very risky. Do not just pop paracetamol repeatedly on your own. It is always safest to get a clinical checkup done by a local physician.

I used to panic even if my temperature went slightly up, thinking it was something dangerous. But then my doc explained it is just the body's normal response to clear out minor bugs. Just rest, stay hydrated, and you will be absolutely fine.

I had a terrible viral fever last week with severe body shivering. What really helped me recover was drinking lots of warm soups, taking paracetamol as prescribed by my doctor, and staying under a light blanket. Don't rush to get back to work.
