How to manage diabetic ketoacidosis?

My friend, who is diabetic, had a really bad episode recently and ended up in the hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis. It was quite scary. How can we prevent this from happening again, and what are the immediate steps if someone shows symptoms?

Listen to me carefully, Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) is a severe medical emergency. Do not try any home remedies or wait. Go to the ICU of the nearest hospital immediately.

This is definitely not a situation where you can sip some ginger tea and hope it goes away! DKA is a major emergency, so please get to a hospital right now.

DKA is a critical complication of diabetes that requires intravenous fluids and insulin under constant medical supervision. Please do not delay and call an ambulance immediately.

Reading about DKA makes my heart race. If you are experiencing rapid breathing, vomiting, or confusion, please go to the hospital right now. Has anyone else felt this terrified of diabetes complications?

When my brother had DKA, we panicked like crazy, but the hospital staff managed it safely with an IV drip. Just get to the hospital immediately, they know exactly what to do.

Do not trust anyone on the internet giving you tips for DKA. It is a critical condition where your blood becomes acidic. Go to a hospital emergency department immediately.

For something as critical as diabetic ketoacidosis, professional hospital care is the only answer. Please do not attempt to self-treat and head to the ER immediately.

While regular yoga helps in long-term diabetes control, DKA is an acute condition. Please seek immediate hospital care as it requires urgent clinical intervention.

My endocrinologist explained that DKA requires precise electrolyte replacement and insulin infusion in a clinical setup. Any delay can be fatal, so please seek emergency care.
