How to manage an underactive thyroid?

My doctor recently told me I have an underactive thyroid and it's making me feel so tired all the time. I'm gaining weight too, even though I'm not eating much different. What are some things I can do in my daily life to help manage this condition?

Welcome to the 'thyroid pill every morning' club! Just remember that tiny pill is your best friend now. Take it on an empty stomach and don't eat anything for an hour, it's basically a daily morning ritual!

Actually yaar, managing thyroid is all about routine. I used to be so careless, but once I started taking my medication strictly at the same time daily, my energy levels got so much better.

Please don't try to manage this purely with diet. I ignored my high TSH levels for a long time and ended up with severe fatigue and hair loss. See an endocrinologist and get your exact dosage prescribed.

Don't worry, an underactive thyroid is very manageable. Just be regular with your blood tests every few months because your doctor might need to adjust the dose. You will feel perfectly fine soon.

I used to feel so down and exhausted all the time and didn't know why. Finding out it was my thyroid was a relief, but also emotional. It takes time for the body to adjust, so please be gentle with yourself.

Beta, don't take stress about thyroid. Eat healthy home-cooked food, avoid cabbage and cauliflower if you can, and always take your doctor's medicine on time.

Like my high BP, thyroid also requires a mix of medication and lifestyle changes. Regular morning walks and reducing processed foods helped me keep my thyroid levels in the normal range along with my daily tablet.

Ah, thyroid! It loves to make you feel like a slow motion video. The only way out is regular tests, walking daily, and accepting that morning tea will have to wait for an hour after your pill.
