How to make sure my mac doesn't go to sleep?

I'm rendering a huge video file on my Mac overnight, and I need it to stay awake. I've heard some Macs automatically sleep after a while even with some settings changed. How can I make sure my Mac doesn't go to sleep at all during this process?

I was struggling with this during my overnight downloads last week. Just open Terminal and type 'caffeinate' and press Enter. It keeps the Mac awake until you close the window.

Yes, using the free 'Amphetamine' app from the Mac App Store is the easiest and safest way to manage this.

You can change this in System Settings under Lock Screen by setting the sleep time to 'Never'. Hope this helps you finish your work comfortably.

Settings change karna bahut simple hai, haan na. Just change display sleep to 'Never' under Lock Screen, but baad mein settings normal karna mat bhoolna.

Actually, yaar, just install the Lungo app or use Terminal. Changing settings every time in system preferences is a total headache.
