How to make sciatica pain go away?

I've been suffering from sciatica pain for the past few months, and it's really affecting my daily life. The doctor gave me some medicines, but I'm looking for some home remedies or exercises that might help make the pain go away faster. Any suggestions?

Honestly tracking your daily steps and tracking sitting posture helps a lot. I used my fitness band to set hourly stretch reminders to avoid staying stiff. Gentle hamstring stretches and foam rolling really helped release the pressure.

My doctor explained that sciatica is basically nerve compression, so sudden heavy workouts can worsen it. He specifically prescribed nerve-strengthening B12 supplements and advised physiotherapy over self-treatment. Please get an MRI done if the shooting pain doesn't subside.

With 9 hours of laptop desk work, my sciatica used to flare up constantly. I bought an ergonomic chair and a lumbar support cushion which made a massive difference. Don't waste time on random exercises, just take a 5-minute walk every single hour.

I feel your pain, sciatica is absolute torture. I tried everything from hot oil massages to ajwain potli compress, and hot water bags gave the most instant temporary relief. But real relief only came when I started doing gentle bhujangasana daily under supervision.

I just got over a severe 3-week sciatica episode last month, yaar. For the first few days, complete bed rest on a firm mattress and basic heat therapy is what worked. Once the acute pain went down, I slowly started mild physical therapy stretches.
