I totally get it, organ meats can be really tricky to cook if you aren't used to the smell. Soaking the liver in milk for 30 minutes before cooking really helps soften the strong flavor.
To keep it healthy and protein-rich, pan-sear the pork liver with very little oil, garlic, and onions. Don't overcook it or it gets too tough to eat, just keep it simple.
I have never tried cooking pork liver before and am a bit hesitant. Do we need to boil it first, or can we directly stir-fry it with spices?
Since liver is extremely high in cholesterol and Vitamin A, please ask your doctor clearly if it fits into your dietary restrictions, especially if you have heart or liver issues.
The secret to liver is lots of onions and spices, otherwise, it tastes like leather! Just don't let it sit on the pan for too long unless you want a workout for your jaw.
I log my meals on MyFitnessPal and organ meats are amazing for iron and B12. Just make sure to weigh it raw and cook it with minimal oil to keep the calorie count accurate.
