Listen, don't suffer silently with that hot water bag all day. Take a simple antispasmodic if the pain is too much, but first get your routine blood tests done to check for any deficiencies.

Honestly, a hot water bottle is my absolute lifesaver during the first two days. I also drink warm ginger water and just lie down in a fetal position, it helps so much.

For quick relief, a heating pad works wonders by relaxing the uterine muscles. You can also take a mild pain reliever after consulting your doctor, but keep yourself well hydrated.

I used to ignore my severe pelvic pain thinking it was just normal period pain, which was a huge mistake. Please get an ultrasound done if the pain is getting worse every month.

I used to panic thinking something was seriously wrong with me when the cramps started. But after a clean scan, my doctor reassured me it is just normal cramping, and regular light walks have helped reduce it.

My daughter used to have terrible cramps every month. I started giving her warm ajwain water and made sure she avoided cold drinks during those days, which helped her quite a bit.

Severe cramps can sometimes be linked to underlying hormonal issues like thyroid imbalance. Please get your TSH levels checked and show the reports to a good gynecologist instead of just taking painkillers.

I track my cycle on Flo and notice that reducing salt and doing light stretching three days before my period really reduces the intensity of my cramps. Give it a try next month.

With my PCOS, period pain can be very unpredictable and sharp. I find that a hot bath and keeping my diet clean helps, but I always keep my doctor in the loop.

If the pain is so severe that you can't even get out of bed, please don't just rely on home remedies. It is always safer to consult a gynecologist to rule out things like cysts or endometriosis.

Please do not self-medicate with heavy painkillers constantly. I did that and it messed up my stomach lining, so please see a specialist to get a proper prescription.

Before spending thousands on expensive supplements, just get a basic pelvic ultrasound done which costs around 800-1000 rupees. That way you know exactly what is causing the pain.
