How to make infant sleep at night?

My 5-month-old daughter just doesn't seem to get into a good sleep routine at night. We're trying to establish some habits but it's hard. Any proven methods for how to make an infant sleep at night?

Actually yaar, setting a biological clock is key. Keep the room super bright during the day and completely pitch dark at night so they understand the difference.

A gentle massage with warm mustard or coconut oil before sleep relaxes their tiny muscles. But if the baby is constantly crying and refusing to sleep, please check with a doctor to see if there is any stomach pain.

Be very careful about sleep positions. We had a scary episode with spitting up at night, so now we are extremely cautious and always discuss any sleep or breathing changes directly with our pediatrician.

My elder sister uses a white noise app on her tablet and it works like a charm. Literally puts the baby to sleep in minutes, you should definitely try it out.

Please don't ignore it if they are waking up gasping or snoring loudly. I once thought it was normal, but it turned out to be an allergy issue that needed medical attention, so get them checked.

I totally get it, the sleep deprivation is real and so exhausting. Just hang in there, try rocking them gently while singing a soft lullaby, and ask your partner for help so you get some rest.

I have helped raise four kids in my family, and a simple warm bath followed by feeding in a quiet room works best. Avoid loud toys or screens in the evening to keep their mind calm.

I constantly worry if my baby is too hot or too cold at night, which keeps us both awake. Try checking the back of their neck to make sure they are comfortable, and use breathable cotton sheets.
