How to make gallbladder pain go away?

My father has been having severe pain in his upper abdomen, and the doctor said it might be related to his gallbladder. What can we do to make this gallbladder pain go away, at least until we see the specialist?

I had severe gallbladder pain back in my 50s and tried every home remedy under the sun. Let me tell you from experience, if there are stones, the pain will keep coming back. Don't worry, the surgery is very common these days and brings permanent relief.

I literally thought I was having a heart attack when my gallbladder pain first started under my ribs, I panicked so much. But once the doctor diagnosed it, we managed it with a low-fat diet until the scheduled treatment. It is scary but very manageable, so breathe easy.

For temporary relief, avoid oily food, dairy, and heavy meals immediately. Drink plenty of warm water and try eating very light food like khichdi. But if the pain is severe, please don't sit at home, go to the local clinic.

Totally agree with avoiding fats. Hot water fermentation on the side of the stomach sometimes helps soothe the spasm temporarily.

I recently felt a sharp pain in my upper right stomach after eating oily food, and my mother thinks it could be the gallbladder. Does the pain go away permanently if I just stop eating fried foods completely, or do we have to visit a doctor?

I have seen many people in this group dealing with gallbladder attacks. The only real way to stop the pain long-term is removing the stones or the gallbladder itself. In the meantime, stick to a zero-fat diet to prevent triggering another attack.

I delayed my gallbladder surgery because I was scared of operations, and ended up with a blocked bile duct and jaundice. It was a complete mess and very painful. Please see a gastroenterologist immediately and don't delay treatment.

Please get an ultrasound done as soon as possible. Gallbladder issues shouldn't be ignored because they can cause severe infections if a stone gets stuck. Don't rely on random remedies and get it checked by a specialist.

Keep your mind strong and calm during this painful time. Avoid heavy foods that burden your digestive system, eat simple boiled food, and rest. Praying that your pain eases very soon, please take care.

Actually yaar, gallbladder pain is no joke. I tried having apple cider vinegar and all, but nothing worked when the attack came. You literally need to see a doctor and get a proper prescription painkiller, home remedies don't touch that pain.

Hey, don't stress too much, it is a very common issue and can be treated easily. For now, stay away from cheese, butter, and spicy stuff. Just drink warm water and call your doc for a quick checkup, you will be absolutely fine.

Oh God, gallbladder pain is the absolute worst, I hope you are okay. I read so many scary articles online when I had it and got so anxious. Just avoid raw vegetables and fats right now, and please call your doc if you start vomiting.
