How to make a newborn go to sleep?

My little one is just two months old, and sleeping has become such a challenge, especially at night. I've tried everything my mother-in-law suggested, but he just won't settle down. Any tips on how to make a newborn go to sleep peacefully?

Ah, the million-dollar question that every parent has struggled with since ancient times! Back in the day, we just took turns walking around the room at 3 AM singing random lullabies. Hang in there, this phase will pass eventually, and you will get your sleep back too!

I totally get it, the sleep deprivation with a newborn can make you feel so exhausted and overwhelmed. Try swaddling them gently and playing some low white noise or fan sounds. Be gentle on yourself, you are doing a wonderful job.

Keep the atmosphere around the baby peaceful, quiet, and full of positive vibes. A gentle, loving massage with warm oil before a bath can calm their little soul beautifully. Take care and stay positive.

Gently rocking them in a semi-dark room usually works well. Sometimes they just need to feel your warmth and heartbeat to feel secure enough to drift off to sleep.

Just make sure the room temp is comfortable and the diaper is clean and dry. A simple sponge bath with lukewarm water and a soft cotton swaddle sheet does the trick most of the time without any fancy gear.

It is exhausting, and that extreme fatigue can take a toll on your own health. Make sure you get your routine postpartum thyroid checkups done, as hormonal shifts can worsen your exhaustion. Talk to your pediatrician if the baby is crying constantly and unable to sleep.
