How to lower acidity in tomato sauce?

I love making pasta sauce at home but sometimes it tastes a bit too sour, like the tomatoes are very acidic. Is there any trick to reduce this acidity while cooking?

Haan na, tomato sauce bohot acidic ho jata hai sometimes! I always add a tiny pinch of baking soda, not too much, just a little. It neutralizes the acid beautifully without changing the taste much. And thoda sa sugar bhi helps, you know, for balance.

Just last week I made a batch of sauce that was too acidic! What worked for me was adding a small amount of grated carrot while it simmered. It adds a natural sweetness and balances the tartness without making it taste sweet. A pinch of baking soda is also an option but be careful not to add too much.

When I make my homemade protein pasta sauce, I sometimes find the tomatoes a bit too sharp. Instead of just sugar, I usually add a few drops of coconut milk or a tiny bit of cream cheese. It makes it creamy and mellows the acidity, but still keeps it relatively healthy. Good for muscle recovery after a workout too!

Ugh, I've had so many batches of tomato sauce turn out too tart and it's just so disappointing after all that effort. It felt like such a cooking failure sometimes! Don't feel bad, it happens. A little sugar or even some grated carrot can actually help balance it out.

Tomato sauce mein acidity kam karni hai toh thoda cheeni (sugar) daal do. Ya phir, ek chota sa pinch baking soda daal ke mix karo. Taste karo aur adjust karo. Bahut simple hai.
