How to lose weight on thyroid medicine?

Been on thyroid medicine for almost two years now, and the weight just doesn't seem to budge. Feeling very frustrated, actually. Someone told me it's harder to lose weight when you're on these meds, is that true?

Honestly, weight loss on thyroid meds is tough but not impossible. Focus on a balanced diet and regular exercise, no shortcuts. And make sure your thyroid levels are stable with your medicine, that's step one.

I can understand the struggle, it's similar with PCOS sometimes. Don't expect super fast results. Small, consistent changes really help. And please, only take advice from your doctor about diet and exercise, especially with medication.

Being on medication means you have to be extra careful with what you eat, especially sugar and processed foods. I manage my diabetes that way. Consult a dietician who understands both thyroid and weight management, it's worth it.

First and foremost, are your thyroid levels well-controlled? Please get your TSH, T3, T4 checked regularly. If levels are off, weight loss will be an uphill battle. Your doctor might need to adjust your dosage.

My endocrinologist explained that sometimes even with medication, your metabolism might be a bit slower. She suggested a high-protein, low-carb diet and strength training, not just cardio. Also, stress management is key.

Yaar, thyroid tests can be a bit costly but they are essential. Try to find a lab that offers packages. For food, focus on seasonal fruits and veggies, cheaper and healthier. Don't fall for expensive diet fads.

Hey! Don't feel discouraged! 🤗 It's totally possible, just a bit slower for us. Focus on being consistent with your meds, eating home-cooked meals, and staying active. You got this! ✨

Beta, don't worry too much. These things take time. I've seen many in my family manage their thyroid and weight. Be patient, take your medicines on time, eat ghar ka khana, and do some light exercise. It will work out.

I use a fitness tracker and a calorie counting app, it really helps to see where you're at. Small steps, man! Track your macros and ensure you're getting enough protein. Also, track your water intake.

Simple things make a big difference. Cut out sugary drinks and deep-fried stuff first. Walk more, even just 30 minutes daily. And cook most of your meals at home. These small changes are sustainable and don't cost much.

I've tried so many things for weight loss, and some traditional remedies helped me with overall well-being, but for thyroid, medicine is important. Just make sure your diet supports your medication. Gentle walks and homemade food are best.
