How to know whether i have diabetes?

Both my parents have diabetes, so I'm always a bit concerned about it for myself. Lately, I've been feeling more thirsty than usual. How can I know if I might have diabetes without getting a test done immediately?

You definitely need a blood test to confirm. But signs like frequent urination, increased thirst, unexplained weight loss, blurred vision, and slow-healing sores are red flags. My fitness app shows my activity but can't detect diabetes; for that, you need a doctor and proper lab work.

Hi! 😊 The only sure shot way is a blood test, usually fasting blood sugar or an HbA1c test. But symptoms like feeling super thirsty all the time, peeing a lot, always hungry, or feeling tired for no reason can be indicators. Don't worry, just get it checked! 👍

My father started feeling very tired and hungry all the time, and he was losing weight even though he ate a lot. We thought it was stress, but then a routine check-up showed high sugar levels. So, from our experience, just get a blood test done. That's the only way to really know.

Yaar, actually, you can't just 'know' yourself. People often feel super thirsty, go to the loo a lot, or get tired easily. But these can be other things too. Best is to get a blood sugar test done. It's a simple test, your local lab will do it. Then only you'll actually know.

I've been reading about this too! Apparently, common signs are feeling really thirsty, peeing a lot, and losing weight even if you're eating normally. My uncle has it and he told me about these symptoms. But everyone says only a blood test can tell for sure.

Like managing my high BP, diabetes also needs careful monitoring. You can't tell without tests. Look for signs like increased thirst, frequent urination, constant hunger, or blurry vision. But always confirm with a doctor through a blood test. Lifestyle changes are key for both, but diagnosis comes first.
